We ordered this crib, put it together and were amazed by the strong plasticky, chemical smell it gave off. We figured that would go away. It's been a week and it's still super strong. We have to leave the nursery door open or else the fumes build up and the room has to be aired out with fans and by opening the windows. This can't be good for a newborn's lungs or ours for that matter. Now we find out we can't return it to the Target store and are in need of a new crib. I am due for a c-section in 1 week and we don't know what we are going to do. I wish I knew if this was something others had been finding. It's a huge hassle in the last week of a pregnancy!!!! I would avoid this crib! Buy Graco Ashleigh Dropside Convertible Crib- White!
